A Certified Legal Nurse Consultant is a licensed, registered nurse with legal training that consults with attorneys, doctors, and/or clients on medical matters. They lend their knowledge and expertise to the legal system through reviewing medical records, medical research, and by written and oral court testimony. This could include reviewing relevant medical literature or medical records, interviewing witnesses, and providing a professional medical opinion.

The CLNC rounds out the legal team with knowledge of the healthcare system and its inner workings, diseases, medical terminology, hospital policies and procedures, and standards. Using a CLNC is cost-effective, saving you time and money.

The Certified Legal Nurse Consultant (CLNC) certification process is administered by the Vickie Milazzo Institute. The official certification of the National Alliance of Certified Legal Nurse Consultants (NACLNC), the CLNC Certification, was implemented in 1994 with the input of successful consultants nationwide.
